It's our lucky year, Bogus Basin Ski Club and Intermountain Ski Council are hosting the annual FWSA convention right here in Boise!

Have you been thinking about attending a convention but didn't have the time or budget to travel out of state? This year the convention has come to us. It's the perfect opportunity to check it and get involved. 

We encourage all members of the club to consider attending as a delegate. Delegates pay an admission fee* for full access to the convention, including celebrity speakers, panel discussions, Leadership Academy training sessions, trade show, and includes a brunch, luncheon, and awards banquet. Delegates participate in the general meeting and vote in the election.
* BBSC has sponsored admission for 5 delegates, chosen by lottery, to past conventions. Sponsored delegates are obligated to network for the club, and come back with ideas to share and help implement for the advancement of the club. Special, optional, add-on events available at an additional cost are the responsibility of the member.

If you don't think you are able or want to participate in all the events for the whole weekend, but are interested in a few of them, feel free to pick and choose and buy access ala carte for specific days and events only.

May 10 is the deadline for early registration of $179. The price will go up to $189 on May 11, through May 19. After that, the fees go up to $199, beginning May 20, until Convention. May 10 is also the deadline for submission of ALL event fees. These include: Wednesday’s Ansot’s Restaurant, Thursday’s Bike Ride, Rafting Trip and Pub Crawl; Friday’s 16th Annual Michael German Memorial Golf Tournament and Day on the Mountain. SAVE THE DATE for a fun time: Friday June 16th at 6:30PM
Bogus Basin Ski Club and Intermountain Ski Council are hosting the 90th annual Far West Ski Association (FWSA) convention at the Boise Centre East Ballroom 400. This event is open to the public and well worth the admission-NONE, $0, and you even get a free beer or glass of wine.
There will many western ski resorts in attendance with reps to talk to about their resort and offer a package for a silent auction that will take place between 7:00-9:30 PM. It is a travel trade-show for you to ask questions and get answers in person.
Alpine Ski Shop from Donnelly will be there selling summer and winter apparel and hard goods at wholesale prices. Come see what bargains
can be had.

This will be a party atmosphere with lots of people to meet and talk with. “A winter in June event with your ski and board friends.”

Just want a peak at the action and have time to help out? The convention is a lot of work with many jobs.  As the host club, we need a lot of help and greatly appreciate members signing up for one or more volunteer shifts.
