Jenn Coutts - President of Intermountain Ski Council  with ZOOM Meeting information

As you have no doubt seen or heard in the news lately, there has been a string of avalanche activity this year and unfortunately a few deaths. This year has been a terrible year as far as the amount and quality of snow. Even if you don't routinely travel to the backcountry to ski, maybe you are invited to a friend's cabin for snowmobiling or out for a jaunt on the snowshoes. Any activity in terrain that is considered backcountry, without proper knowledge and equipment, is rolling the dice.

I have requested a basic avalanche awareness and safety session with the Utah Avalanche Center to be held via Zoom on Feb 18th at 7pm MST.  I would like to invite ALL the members and their families of the clubs that belong to the council to attend this event. It should be about 45min long and will include a Q & A at the end.
